Glimpse of Brilliance: Commemorative Coins

Throughout COVID-19, care home staff have worked, and continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their residents.

As a way to say a huge thank you to their team for all their hard work, Arden Court had the idea of gifting each team member a commemorative ‘Thank You’ NHS coin.

Arden Court have an ‘employee of the month’ scheme where a member of staff is celebrated each month, however when the pandemic hit it was impossible to pick just one person as every member of staff has been a hero;

“all staff have worked 300%.”

Keith spotted the commemorative coins and thought it would be a lovely, sentimental idea to give back to the staff who have given so much. The Head Office bought a commemorative coin for each employee, with the hope that the coins will be treasured and may one day be something to tell the grandchildren about.

All 63 members of staff who received the gifted coins loved the kind gesture. Keith said if people go that extra mile, they should be told, thanked and celebrated and that the most important lesson is to value your staff.
